How To Get A Bear Licenses?
In MInnesota the government uses a lottery for bear hunting. Around April this is the time you must go to a big game regastraion center. They can be found all around Minnesota. Even check out our local gas station. Big game regastrations are at gas stations, grocery stores, and other stores. For more information check out the hunting and trapping book. Which is found at the big game regastrations. Once you apply in the summer you will be contacted or you can check online so see if your name got drawn. Every year you can only shoot one bear male or female. Males are called boars and females are called sows. Chances are you won't get drawn every year. You usually get drafted two years in a row. Then you don't. Across the state around 2,000 bears get shot every year. So if you don't get one don't get frustrated.

What To Use?
For bear hunting you need to bait the bear. These are some things you should use. Bears are omivores which makes them eat plants and meat. So far this is what we have been using. They love these foods in the picture above. Make sure to try and bait the bear every day. Bears can roam up to 100 miles in there life. If the have there needs met why move. If there not then they will move. That is why you can't just bait them once a week and then leave. Therefore this is what you should use.

The picture above is a perfect example of a well made bear bait. Look at the big logs next the the big beat. You can see the goods are in it. This is how to create a bait. First make a perimeter with the logs. Then place the food inside it. After that stack the rest of logs on top of the food then repeat this process day in and out. If you follow this your chances will increase.
Tips While Hunting?
Sometimes you look up and then at the bait. A bear is there. You wonder how it got there. The concept behind this is the bears paws. The paws are so soft. That when they step they don't create much noise. Think about it when a deer hooves hit the ground they are shaped different. Then they create a lot more noise. When your hunting you want liitle wind. Smelling is one a bears best senses. Without it the bears usually don't come out. Remember this a bear without its nose is like a human without its eyes. Therefore bears hate not being able to smell.
What To Use?
I used a 30/30 lever action or a matthews bow. Matthews are the best bow in my opinion. The reason for that rifle over a 7mm is the fps is much slower. Therefore there is a much bigger impact. The 7mm just goes shots so fast there is a little bullet hole.
