Chief Operating Officer (COO)

▪  Successfully hired to complete the re-organization of the Duostech Operations Team and all of its operating systems, logistics, procurement, IT, and Engineering.  Completed a transformation of the business even through COVID-19 and all of the supply chain issues.

▪  Re-organized the entire Supply Chain Logistics team to allow for the implementation of an internal procurement system and tracking process. These modifications changed the landscape of how the company executes transactions.  The company is now able to track materials from purchase to installation.  Additionally, the purchasing process was reduced from an average of 2 weeks to less than 24 hours.

▪  Over the last 3 quarters the team has met all Revenue and Stock Equity goals; this has not been achieved in this companies past history (35 years).  This was achieved by the new processes and personnel put into action; leadership is a direct reflection of the positive change.  The Company is currently in the process of executing 3 simultaneous installations in the US, Canada, and Mexico; with a follow on installation for the new Acela AMTRAK train in Philadelphia.

▪  Implemented a Current Operations Center that is running 24/7/365.  The operations center is now the hub of activity for the company, all information and operations are tracked in the "Operations Center".  This section is now able to pro-actively monitor the datacenters in the field and implement changes and updates in a set time and all coordination's are routed through this team.

▪  Set new goals and KPIs for the team.  Have been able to achieve all KPIs to standard since being hired as the COO.

▪  Assigned as the Chief Commercial Officer, supported the strategic plan and closely developed proposals including the new investment of Drone integration and implementation in order to interdict Illegal Riders from Mexico to Texas.

▪  Coordinated with all Directors both current and long-term goals. Implemented a current operations planning and long-range planning calendar to synchronize all activities over the course of the Calendar Year.

▪  Additional duty as the Chief Knowledge Management Officer for Duostech.  Completely re-organized how Duostech collaborates information; transformation is now complete, and the teams are sharing information.


APR Energy, Jacksonville Florida, 08/2016 - 08/2019

Vice President Global Projects & Project Director

▪  Directly responsible for Companies Global Project Management Team.  Synchronizing all project Installations and Demobilizations - All projects since 2016 to 2019 have been on-time and on/under budget.  Most recent project in Mexico is $1.2 Million Dollars under budget (3 x Simultaneous Project Installations all finishing in 30 days of less)

▪  Responsible for the P&L for 20-35 Full Time APR Employees and up to 100 Day Labor Force for each project; The Project Team executed 24 projects around the globe totaling over ~$500Mn - all projects installed successfully and are now supporting each location with power.  Completed projects on-time and on-budget, changing the dynamic of Fast Track Power for APR into a reality.  Trained 5 new Project Managers on current fast track processes and procedures.

▪  Installed the largest Diesel Power Module (DPM) site in the world in Bangladesh with 256 DPMs providing 300+ MWs of power.

▪  Installed 2 x Generation 8 Gas Turbine Engines in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria in 15 days, the fastest install in APR & GEs History.

▪  Built a Project Management Team that increased the company's 2018 and 2020 revenue by 17%.  Set the standard for managing projects to ensure they are completed on-time and on-budget.

▪  Changed the mindset of the APR Team to one that is now more collaborative and responsive to the project teams and enablers by implementing Office 365 Teams and other Collaborative tools.  Assigned as teh Knowledge Management Officer for APR.

▪  Manage and oversee IT programs.  Provide oversight of assigned programs, conduct analytical reviews, monitor baseline standards, implement best business practices, measure performance, and integrate and optimize use of technology.  Utilize ITIL foundation as a baseline for projects. Responsible for the coordination and supervision of specific tasks and functions. Ensures all activities are carried out in accordance with project commitments and specific objectives. 

▪  Responsible for day-to-day coordination and administration of tasks by ensuring quality and productivity standards are maintained while meeting client/customer schedules. Coordinates with other contract and and reviews subordinates’ performance. Ensures completion of  administrative reporting. Responds subcontract personnel to ensure work moves smoothly from one functional area to another. 

▪  Works with contracting officer and/or customer to prepare work schedules and man-hour estimates. Maintains record of changes in instructions and ensures all team members are informed of changes. Assigns to customer requests and questions.

U.S. Army Garrison, Fort Carson, Colorado 07/2012 to 05/2013

Provide oversight of assigned programs, conduct analytical reviews, monitor Army baseline standards, implement best business practices, measure performance, and integrate and optimize use of technology.

COO: DIRECTOR, PLANS, ANALYSIS, AND INTEGRATION OFFICE

Oversee six major programs and two operational divisions (20K+ Soldiers), providing future plans, analyses, and Business Process Improvement services for the entire agency. Synchronize all efforts to achieve better business practices and enable the entire Fort Carson Enterprise to establish its planning objectives through 2020.

 ▪  Assigned as the lead Program Manager for a five year strategic implementation plan for future partnership with the surrounding communities in and around Fort Carson / Colorado Springs.

▪  Developed a three- and five-year Strategic Plan for the Fort Carson Enterprise utilizing the Baldrige Criteria.

▪  Increased customer satisfaction rate from 78% to 92% for the Interactive Customer Evaluation system, reengineering the web-based customer feedback system to enable learning from current and future trends.

▪  Created a long-range planning system that fully synchronized training, operations, and planning for 20K+ soldiers.

U.S. Army, Security Force Assistance Team Leader, Kandahar, Afghanistan 07/2010 to 07/2012.  

Security Force Assistance Team works to help the Government of Afghanistan to provide for its own long-term security and stability.

Supervised and managed a 46-person mentor staff, providing direct oversight for 2K+ Afghan officers. Advised on all aspects of day-to-day operations and tactical and strategic objectives. Developed training, maintenance, logistics, budget, medical, and information operations strategic plan for Afghan Police Force & Government Agencies.

 

▪  Directly managed and processed $20M+ in financial transactions for lost and damaged equipment.

▪  Selected as the Senior Advisor/Mentor for an Afghan General Officer in the most hostile area in Southern Afghanistan; increased the proficiency of the Afghan unit by 100%.

▪  Achieved excellent results with the Afghan National Civil Order Police partners, coaching key leaders at all levels and breaking through cultural barriers; personally developed a 10 year training program for the Afghans.

Coached, mentored, and trained Senior officers and staff at U.S. Army Europe’s combat maneuver-training center.

Planned and executed training and operations, including multinational operations, leader training programs, team training guidance and planning, doctrinal currency, and situational exercises.

 

▪  Interfaced with Joint-level personnel on a national scale, communicating vital mission objectives; orchestrated future planning meetings between multiple organizational offices and agencies.

▪  Reengineered and instituted new systems and concepts, counter to prevailing culture, to plan and develop new training scenarios for military exercises, resulting in “the most complex counterinsurgency-oriented training event ever conducted at a combat training center.”

▪  Led two JMRC-wide planning efforts, drawing together elements from multiple teams and groups, civilian support agencies, and contractors to produce synchronized and integrated plans and products.

U.S. Army, 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii 07/2005 to 06/2009 

Led staff for organization consisting of 4K+ soldiers, 300+ Stryker vehicles, and 600+ wheeled support vehicles.

Served as principal advisor to the commander on all aspects of unit readiness, training, plans, operations, and deployments. Planned, coordinated, and synchronized unit’s transformation from a light infantry unit to a future Stryker unit.

 

▪  Directed the transition of the unit, replacing thousands of pieces of communication and other equipment and vehicles and developing a detailed and synchronized training plan for each new piece of equipment.

▪  Developed and managed $100M budget and regional improvement and development project within the Abu Ghraib Market Area, Iraq, processing 1K+ grants to new and potential business owners.

▪  Implemented training management system for eleven military organizations consisting of over 4K+ personnel, achieving the commander’s intent while balancing the synchronization of scarce training resources.

▪  Created a fully synchronized and detailed plan for unit’s deployment and execution of a rotation at the National Training Center and subsequent deployment to Iraq for combat operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. 

 

U.S. Army, 3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia 06/2000 to 07/2005 Managed and organized all staff operations for 900+ soldiers on numerous deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Executed long-range planning and implementation of new IM/IT resources. Provided administrative and protocol support for operations staff and their subordinate sections. Worked, budgeted, and accounted for $100M+ of property.

 

▪  Served as the Officer in Charge of operational planning and training for several months during Commander/CEOs absence; managed budget of $100M+ and integrating cost saving techniques in excess of $5M+.

▪  Established an Operation & Emergency Coordination center that allowed the commander and staff to track ongoing operations; integrated state of the art digital systems to increase decision making process.

▪  Issued detailed daily updates to Senior Level Commanders that allowed them to make life saving decisions in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
