If you are like me, when I travel abroad, I want to do much more than just sit on the beach drinking. I want to go out and explore, I want to experience the culture and people of the country I am visiting. I want to be able to go home and tell people what I found out about the place and why I loved it so much.
If you are like me, and you have decided you want to visit the real Spain, then why not consider Alcala la Real in the southern province Andlucia. Known for its vast amount of perfect weather, not too cold, not too hot, and exceptional scenery and traditions.
Alcala la Real has changed little from its old days as a working town. Located in its centre is a beautifully set castle, of which the town is centered around and streets follow down from. The narrow roads host a mixture of old shops and tapas bars, where you can still expect to get a portion of gastronomic delight with every glass of wine of beer.
The town even plays host to the annual music festival called Etnosur where a mix of national and international music artists come together and perform at this Free open air festival. It goes deep in to the night and you can be sure you only need a t-short and shorts!
