For the past 3 years or so, I have been using the MS paint tool on my computer to draw pictures. At first, these were generally simple pictures drawn straight from imagination. However, over the past year I have been evolving my technique and drawing from photos or interpreting from others' pictures. The results of this are shown below. I will be adding to them as I draw, so if you are interested, then this is the only place to see them properly (note: facebook converts my .bmp pictures to JPGs, which alters the image and make them less clear), in their original .bmp format. All pictures are mouse-drawn, using ordinary MS paint. I do not use scanners or other shenanigans to cheat, these are all the result of hard work and a steady hand!

Enjoy!

This was the first picture I ever drew using my current technique, although there are many more pictures that I drew previously, from my imagination (these can be found on my facebook gallery). I used a picture of a bald eagle that I found in a calendar as inspiration for this one.

To create this picture, I drew from a photograph that my Dad took in the Ivory Coast.

People seem to love this robin! Easily my most popular picture, it was also drawn from a picture in the same calendar as the eagle.

These penguins, and the next three pictures, have been inspired by much smaller, simpler pictures that I found in an animal encyclopedia (The encyclopedia of animals: a complete visual guide, Fog City Press, 2004). Here, I started to experiment with the use of less defined colour lines.

One of my personal favourites, I feel that the less defined lines really work on this one.

This picture took me by far the longest of any of my pictures, however I am of mixed opinions about it, as the results are perhaps a little less striking that with some of the other pieces.

My second most recent piece, here I decided to abandon the line-merging I had been testing out, and revert back to the more hard-lined style.

My most recent piece, I have decided to use contrasting styles in the background and foreground, which I feel makes the tree frog's already bright colours stand out even more.

These are some older pictures, from back when I used to draw straight from my imagination. Although they're obviously not as good as my realistic ones, I can't help but like some of them. So, in no particular chronological order:
