Instagram is a free picture sharing social media site found on October 6, 2010. It allows users to download pictures, process them through a digital filter, and share them they are connected to. Instagram has been extremely successful from the start. Over 1 million users they already had by December 2010. Over 150 million photographs on Instagram, 30 million users were downloading by April 2012. Additionally in April, Instagram became available to android users. Finding a danger to its social media dominance, Facebook acted quick to neutralize its latest adversary. Again Facebook purchased auto like instagram.
