What are Ethnic Health Disparities?

  • Ethnic Health Disparities are differences in health and well-being among people from different ethnic backgrounds.

  • Ethnic Health Disparities in outcome of pregnancy may be associated with poverty, age, nutrition, lack of prenatal care, and social status.

  • Infant mortality rates in some United States' inner-city and rural areas are similar to infant mortality rates in third-world countries.

  • Infant mortality rates are an indication of the basic health and well being of peoples of a nation.

Your Preborn Baby's Brain

  • During the third trimester of pregnancy, your Preborn Baby's brain is growing very quickly.
  • If brain cells lack nutrients to grow and develop they never will
  • Malnutrition in the last months of pregnancy may prevent your preborn baby's brain from growing and developing as it should.
  • Eat wholesome well-balanced fresh foods every day.
