3.Eddie Van Halen
Edward Lodewijk "Eddie" Van Halen, was born on January 26 1955. He would turn out to be one of the greatest guitarists ever. EddieÕs dad was a guitarist, so musical talent was in the family. Eddie bought a drum kit at eleven and started practicing. After a while he grew tired of the drums, so he went to his dad for lessons on how to play the electric guitar. He would spend hours in his room just practicing. In 1972 in Pasadena, Mammoth a band, later known as Van Halen was formed. They changed the name to Van Halen because there was already a successful band with the same name. Van Halen released a total of six albums. Since they were formed in the seventies, they went out of style in the late eighties and nineties. They are currently doing reunion tours all over the world.
Here is a video of Eddie playing the solo to Eruption.
2. Jimmy Paige
Jimmy
Paige was definitely a magnificent guitarist. He was born James Patrick Paige in the western part of
London on January 9th, 1944.
He and a couple of his friends formed the band called Led Zeppelin. They started out small, but then they
had gotten noticed and had gotten a major recording deal. He combined hard rock, metal, and an
acoustic style. Those unique types of songs are recognizable as
ZeppelinÕs. The band sort of fell
apart after their drummer John Bonham died in 1980. Paige was also in other bands such as ÒThe YardbirdsÓ and
ÒThe FirmÓ. His most notable
guitars were his Gibson Les Paul, his Gibson EDS-1275, his Fender Telecaster,
and his Danelectro Shorthorn.
There is word that the members of Led Zeppelin might be going on a
reunion tour. Jimmy said yes, but
the decision is all up to Robert Plant (the singer).

awesome song Black Dog!
AND!!!
Randy Rhoads was definitely the greatest guitarist of all time. If you didnÕt know, he was the mastermind behind the song ÒCrazy TrainÓ. He was born Randall William ÒRandyÓ Rhoads. When he was only 16 He formed the band Quiet Riot. They played at local bars in California. When Ozzy was done with Black Sabbath, he was looking for a new guitarist. Randy was one of the names that were mentioned. When Ozzy found more about Randy, he wanted for him to audition. Randy tried out. Randy was warming up using some pentatonics and arpeggios, when Ozzy immediately accepted him into the band. Ozzy realized RandyÕs talent and wanted to show it to the world. The band went immediately to the studio to record ÒBlizzard of OzzÓ. Their most popular songs were ÒCrazy TrainÓ and ÒMr. CrowleyÓ. Rhoads was in an airplane accident, which was unluckily fatal. He was killed only at the age of 25, not being able to show his full talent. From his killer arpeggios, the blinding licks, to the head-banging solos Randy Rhoads was definitely the best guitarist of all time! His most notable instruments were: His Jackson Randy Rhoads Signature Model, his Karl Sandoval ÒPolka DotÓ Custom Flying V, and his Gibson Les Paul Custom.
