To the right is the lead guitarist of the famous thrash metal band Metallica, Kirk Hammett.  He was born on November 18, 1962 in San Francisco.  He started playing guitar when he was 15 years old.  He got a call in 1883 from Metallica asking him if he wanted to be their new lead guitarist, and the rest is history.

ITÕS RANDY RHOADS!!!!  Randy was born on December 6, 1956 at St. Johns hospital in Santa Monica, California.  He got his first guitar when he was six years old at the age sixteen he started teaching Musonia.  He later formed a band called Quiet Riot with his friend Kelly Garni.  Eventually, he made his way with Ozzy and became more famous than ever before.  At age 25 when his career was taking off, a freak accident would end everything.  An airplane crashed and killed him.  On March 19, 1982, this AMAZING guitarist died.

ITÕS EDDIE VAN HALEN!!!  He was born on January 26, 1995 in the Nijmegen Netherlands.  As children, he and his brother Alex received classical piano lessons, but rock won their interest.  Later on in years, Eddie and his band impressed the bassist for Kiss, Gene Simons, and Gene offered his time to the band to produce a demo tape for the band.  In 1978 their debut was released.  They came out with some albums and rocked!!!!!!

Hey, hey, hey, ItÕs Mike Mccready.  He was born April 5, 1966 in Pensacola, Florida, but he and his family moved shortly after his birth to Seattle.   At age 11 he purchased his first guitar and started taking lessons.  He later joined a band in high school.  Stone Gossard, a friend of Mikes, asked him if he could join the band.  The two of them worked together and recruited Jeff Ament, Matt Cameron, and Eddie Vedder and formed Pearl Jam.  They were originally called Mookie Baylock.

Joe SatrianiÉYEAH!!!  He was born on July 15, 1956 in Westbury, New York.  He was inspired to pick up guitar at age 14 after hearing about Jimi HendrixÕs death.  Joe quickly learned the instrument and started teaching others including Kirk Hammett, Steve Vai, Charlie Hunter, Larry LaLonde, and David Bryson.  It was Steve Vai who got Joe into wide guitar publications and his world wide fame.  Satch put out his first full-length album Not of this Earth, which was a huge hit.  He was later was recognized as one of rocks top ten guitarists.

Angus Young is truly awesome.  He was born on March 31, 1955 in Glasgow, Scottland.  He was a very unenthusiastic student. In school.  Originally, he just messed around with his brotherÕs guitar, Malcom Young, before he bought a cheap acustic.  He later joined his brotherÕs band as the lead guitarist, but eventually became the lead guitarist for the awesome AC/DC!!!
