Welcome to the KI4NBE Website

I'm no fancy web site maker but I'll try and do my best to make this a place you'll come back to. Hi, my name George and I been a Ham 3 1/2 years but been into radio for more the 30 years. See I was a trucker and most of it was cb , ok no downside remarks as not all us cb truckers are bad mouths on the radio. but I will say it was the nasty mouths that drove me away from it. So I turned to Ham radio after hearing you could get license without code. It was Dec 27th 2005 that I became a tech and then a gen one minute after midnight the day the fcc dropped code altogether, after that one year later I upgraded to my extra. I have to say I like checking into the local 2 meter net/s but I'm hooked or biten by the bug into HF. My fav band is 20 meter then 40 meter. I have done some 6 meter but not enough to say how great it is like others say. guess that day is yet to come. If I'm up late at night (most nights I am) I like doing 80 meter. I like working for my WAS and I'm down to 4 states left to go. Qso parties are a blast to me and I try to get into everyone I can. Not only is it a great way to work to WAS but a great way to collect qsl cards and over the last 3 and a half years I have over 680+ cards both USA and DX countries. I love collecting them and yes I'm useing them as wallpaper in my shack. And it's just simply FUN!! I have made a lot of great friends from all over the country. I look forward to our Qso and Qsl exchange. 73 George/KI4NBE
This is a picture of my son and I.
10 meter beam, 2 meter/440 and G5RV.
The G5RV is tied off between the two towers.
This is a GREAT little portable antenna. The Buddipole, I have used her only a few time but it's impress me very time. She is a multi portable diepole that works from 40-2 meter and 6 meter. Some day I'll get away to the east coast of Florida and try her out for some Europe DX.
And all those antennas carry the signal from this IC-706MKIIG. So as it stands for now I'm big on the Antennas just not the Radio yet, and we all know with the right antenna we can make any small radio sound BIG. Below I am adding my collection of Qsl cards. this will grow as time passes, Please enjoy looking at them.
