Welcome to my Website!

My name is Arla Bowles. I am a 35 year old single mother from the San Francisco Bay Area. I recently graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.A degree in English with a Creative Writing emphasis and am diligently seeking ways to carve out a life for me in the world of writing. I began writing around the 5th grade and decided to become a “professional” writer or what ever it is you would call it - I just haven’t found the right words - after life happened to me. I wanted to be happy and I absolutely knew writing made me happy but I didn’t know how to make it happen beyond my desires and my notebooks. I talked to a lot of people and came across a counselor at the junior collage I was attending for business management who told me about the program at San Francisco State University. My path was laid, I went for it and here I am presenting myself to you.
