Why is Japanese Considered as one of the Prominent and Noticeable Business Language?

Nearly 200 million people speak Japanese all over the world. This is quite a big figure, which shows the scope of this language. Japan is renowned for its technological advancements.  Often, there arises the need to translate a large number of documents into and from Japanese.

Japanese has got three different writing systems. They are Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. This is indeed a complex system as a Japanese writer is supposed to memorise the entire Hiragana and Katakana alphabets. Kanji consists of many thousand symbols.

Apart from the complexity of the writing system, Japanese is a simple language. It is easier to speak Japanese than to write it. There are no verb conjugations, no articles, and the nouns are non-gendered. These observations strengthen the fact that not every bilingual speaker needs to be a good translator. Japanese has some strange peculiarities. In a sentence, the verb falls at the very end and a listener has to be keen at the whole sentence to catch the meaning. This asserts the necessity of small and direct sentences. Another major thing to be noted is the Honorific Usage. It changes with the context. A Japanese-English translator must be watchful to tackle such situations.

Japanese has a tendency to be comprehensive. It elaborates on a simple thing, consuming a lot of paragraphs. This is a problem to be handled during the translation process. Here translator is supposed to use his/her free will.

Japan ranks second in the number of patent applications submitted each year to the United States. The above fact is sufficient to underline the escalating relevance of Japanese English Translations. Japanese is counted as one of the prominent business languages. In the wake of modern technology, Japan is in a position to offer the best outputs. The demand for excellent Japanese to English translations is at its peak. But, the complexity of Japanese writing system poses a series of obstacles. None other than an excellent translator, who is fully fluent in both the languages, is able to do any good in this field.
