When I asked my sister to describe her experience being in middle school, she said it was some of the most overwhelming years at Eisenhower. She told me that there was going to be more unnecessary drama, homework, and stress. But she also gave me some really great advice.
She told me to make more friends and handle my responsibilities head-on, and that procrastination never works out. She made sure that I was not embarrassing myself, that I was not stuffing the contents of my locker in my backpack, and that I knew how to navigate the hallways assertively.
Thanks to her, I can confidently say that I had a pretty great time in middle school. I did not experience much drama or stress, nor did I do many things I regret. I stayed close with so many of my friends from elementary school, was involved with sports, and enjoyed events outside of school .
So for this project, I am going to go over everything and everyone that really made middle school the positive experience that it was for me.
