The traditional email pitch letter's call to action has four elements. Tell readers:

  1. What you want them to do
  2. When you would like them to do it
  3. How they will benefit by acting right away
  4. How easy it is for them to respond

    What you want them to do: Do you want recipients to call you? Visit your showroom? Request an estimate? Whatever it is, tell them.

    When you want them to do it: Tell readers to act now. Give them a deadline, if you can. Otherwise, they'll forget to follow through.

    How they'll benefit by acting right away: There's a reason your visitors should act now, It could be that they can solve a problem right away. It might be a limited time offer.

    How easy it is to respond: However you want them to respond, make it easy. Prominently display your website's URL, include links to landing pages, provide a toll free number.

    P.S. Give them a guarantee. Money-back offers and refunds are effective because they suggest your readers might not like your products or services. Instead, tell your readers there's no risk involved.
