Was born two months premature.
My adoption was private.
Birth mom was between 15-18
Told by adoptive father her first name was possibly Sandra
My grandfather was supposedly a colonel in the Air Force.
i was told my birth father did not know of my birth.
My birth father was also possibly in the Air Force.
At some point my birth mom moved to East Texas.
Several years after my birth my birth mom supposedly saw me while out somewhere but did not recognize me.
I was told my birth mother signed a document stating she would not try to find or contact me.
As I was born at a military hospital my birth mom was most likely not born in Texas.
What I have found
A marriage record for a Sandra Kay Platt born 1953. she would have been within my birth moms age range.
Sandra Kay Platt married Paul E Lawthorp January of 1970 in Fort Worth Texas, county of Tarrant.
As marriage was only 6 months after my birth he may possibly be my birth father.
So far no divorce record for them has been found leaving the possibility they are still married.
I found a Paul E Lowthorp located in Indiana that lists a Sandra Kay Platt as a relative. Yes the spelling is different but we suspect someone made an error and misspelled the name on marriage record.
The Paul and Sandra above had a child Deberie Dawn Lowthorp (now Ortiz) born September 26, 1970.
They had a second child name Kimberly Eve Lowthorp (now Bowen) possibly born 1972.
Paul served in the Air Force.
Sandra's father David C Platt also served in the air force.
So far the information found seems to be matching up.
I located Kimberly on Facebook but have not located anything pn Deberie beyond an address and possiblevrelatives. I suspect she may be going by Debbie and may be possibly be living in Florida.
I am also trying to locate any further info on Paul or Sandra.
As Texas now allows adoptees to obtain a non certified copy of original birth certificate I have requested my birth certificate based on the information above requesting two copies. One with Paul listed as birthfather and one listing no father.
