Accokeek Maryland is a sleepy little town located a stone's throw from Washington DC. Tiny is an understatement! But one of the benefits of living here (aside from the small town living) is that we are situated in a hotbed of sports activity.
There's something to be said for being able to easily attend a University of Maryland (College Park) football game in the fall, a Georgetown Hoya basketball game in the winter, a Washington Nationals baseball game in the spring, and a host of other high school & recreational sports competitions all-year long!
Locally, we have plenty of sports teams available to keep the whole family active. If it isn't available in Accokeek, it's sure to be found in one of the surrounding towns, like Fort Washington, Indian Head, or Waldorf.
