National Geographic - Aftermath: Population Zero
Book Creation
This is an idea I have for a book. I'm obviously no Dan Brown & I have never written a book before, so this is all new to me & hopefully I'll learn as I progress thru this project.
The idea behind this came from watching "Aftermath: Population Zero" on National Geographic. The show was a theoratical look at what would happen to the Earth if all human life just disappeared. It was very interesting cause thats somethin we never think about.

It is the year 2009 and humans have been the dominant species for a few dozen millennia. During our tenure, we have created automobiles, aircraft, marine vessels, historical landmarks, traveled into space, developed technologies that allow us to communicate with people on opposite sides of the world in real time, and even created life, through the cloning process.
Many people would call these inventions genius, while some would say that it is man reaching for divinity by creating something from nothing. Although these inventions and scientific
“progress” have provided both insight and impetus to our evolution, they have also harbored a dark secret, greed overshadows judgment, and where the opportunity to gain monetarily exists, it often takes precedence over the growth of scientific knowledge. Ignorance has blinded us to any foreshadowing that reaching for divinity would be a harbinger of our own extinction.
Despite all of these technological advances, we have at the same time, by virtue of fate, engineered our own demise. With each of mankind’s leaps in technology, these “miracles” have proven with each passing century, that humans are the more intelligent species of the planet. But it seems intelligence is not without irony. Even though all of these amazing inventions have made our lives better, and allowed us to achieve feats that would have been otherwise impossible, they are also our epitaphs.
Smog, pollution, greenhouse gases, acidification of the oceans global warming and wars are slowly and methodically destroying our home; our ONLY home. And the damage is irreversible. There will be no happy ending and there is no contingency plan. Mother Nature is our judge, jury, and executioner. And it’s only a matter of time until she passes judgment on us.
