      UPDATE! 23 February, 2007

This is a link the the JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler. I now use this for easy swapping of Mods for BoBII.

      JoneSoft Products

It works well, and all of my mods are now assembled for JSGME use. I have replaced all my mods and now theyuse this format, 23/2/07.

One bad thing is that using JSGME will put the mod's readme and JPEG picture into BoBII root folder.

You can leave them there, or delete  them as I do. Does not hurt, but I like my root folder clean.

DDS_plugin_for_PaintShopPro.zip    This has a DXT tool plugin,  that will enable Paint Shop Pro users to open, edit, and save .dds files.

A readme is included for installing the file to PSP, and enabling PSP to associate with .dds.

Placing Objects.zip                       Instruction on how to place single objects. I have included everything I know about placing single objects.

                                                              Detailed explanation.

Multi_Object_Templates.zip       Instruction for placing many objects at one time. Number of objects placed at once limited to 500 (tried).

There is also a way to place multiple objects at one click. These then can be moved and rotated into any position. We call them   "templates" for lack of a better word. Templates because, for example, they can be made at London upon a fully mapped texture, ( about 300+ objects on a full city texture) and then this multi-object template can be placed over another (same type city texture), say at Southampton. Objects that are placed into fields or other city textures that fit not the template with the surrounding textures can be deleted. Template can be moved and rotated unto proper texture with ease. With this, cities can be occupied much faster than placing 1 building at a time! Or trees as well.

WARNING! Placing more than 300 ground objects that will in be your view,  will result in a noticeable fps drop!

Objects List.zip         Here is my approved list of working objects. 146 of them are listed, and contains no effects, fire, etc.

There are 146 objects listed, with shapename, shapenumber, and a description. Prints out on 3 single sided sheets.

I have listed  some NEW objects made by Ben of London. Currently with v2.02 and v2.03, these are somewhat broken.

When first starting BoB II, I must change the Object Quality setting in the More GFX config menu to a new setting.

Matters not what setting you choose. Then you must fly 2 missions and change the settings twice more.

On the third mission the NEW ones will work OK for placement and look.  This is a temporary work-around.

Goofy bug, and we are Sorry for the current November 2005 inconvenience. Bug squashed later I hope.

Skinners_Pack_V1.zip            Extract to the BoBII root folder. New files should be in the root.

Run the x8_to_pcx batch file. This will convert all of X8 files that were not already converted to .pcx format.

You can now open the easily to see what they look like. Made by Osram.

A sizeable (but old) readme on textures and bdg text switches for "on the fly" windowed skinning is included.

Skinners_Pack_Fixes.zip        Extract to the BoBII root folder AFTER batching the Skinners Pack!. Pathnames are supplied.

This contains fixes to the files that the Skinners Pack V1 failed to convert properly. Mostly IMAGEMAP files.
