Now, after 8 years in production, to date the Proton Satria has gone through a lot. A lot as in after 2 sub-generations, 4 main variants and a few facelifts, the Satria is still in production and well accepted by the local and international market.

The 1st generation Satria, came with minimal design changes from the Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg models, as in the similar Mirage Cyborg rear tail design, with Proton-designed frontal and trimmings. While the 2nd generation features a totally Proton redesign rear tail, frontal grille, seat,upholstery and trimmings also with better accessories added.

In general, there are 4 variants of the Proton Satria namely the Proton Satria 1.3 GL/GLi, 1.5 GLi, 1.6 GLi and the flagship 1.8 GTi. As the flagship model, the 1.8 GTi has already have a Satria GTi club formed in year 2000 in initiation with Proton. As a result, the SPOC is mainly consists of the non-Gti models only.
