CAD Software Engineer

June  2003 –Till Date        Vest Inc                            New Delhi, India

Project : Pressure-Flow Calculation in Hydraulic Manifolds

Team Size : 1

·         Pressure loss in the manifold due to friction, Bends, change in area of cross section, loss in vavles are considered using theoretical equations.

·         User will enter the input variable by directly clicking over the drawing.

·         User interface will be made through Inventor API using Visual Basic.

April  2003 – May 2003          Vest Inc.                            New Delhi, India

Project : Quality Connection Check between cavities of Manifold

Client : PARKER, USA

Team Size : 1

·         Manifold Cavity details will be extracted from the data base.

·         Intersection between the cavities will be found by triangulating cavities and net list was prepared.

·         By finding area of intersection between cavities, quality of connection was decided.

·         Programming was done using Visual Basic through Inventor API.

February 2003 – March 2003          Vest Inc.                            New Delhi, India

Project : Auto Dimensioning of Manifolds

Client : PARKER, USA

Team Size : 1

·         Manifold Cavity details will be extracted from the data base.

·         Depending on the face location of cavity center will be determined and the same will be automatically dimensioned.

·         Programming Has been done using Visual Basic through AutoDesk Inventor API.

AUTOMATIC INSPECTION PATH PLANNING FOR INSPECTING SIMPLE FEATURES ON CMM

  • CAD drawings of a product, whose inspection has to be done, are the primary source of a planning system.

  • The geometric features of the drawings are extracted to a file, which is useful for further processing by the automatic inspection path generator.

  • A program in C is developed, to generate the inspection path.

  • This program is capable of generating the probing points along with the probing vectors and the near optimum collision free probe path in a text file.

  • This file is fed to the CMM, so that the features of the component are automatically inspected in the near optimum probe path.

  • Finally these results are successfully compared with the traditional methods of measurement.

Minor Projects as part of Curriculum

  • Injection Mould design for A/C regulating knob using Pro/E

  • Static analysis for Gear in NISA

  • Graphical Simulation of CNC program (G&M codes) using C program

BI-DIRECTIONAL SCHEDULING APPROACH IN SUPPLY CHAIN

  • Bi-directional scheduling approach is integration of forward scheduling and backward scheduling.

  • It considers due dates into consideration as well as shortest processing time as its criterion.

  • This has been implied in the supply chain to show the effect of the scheduling in the supply chain. First, forward scheduling was implemented afterwards backward scheduling and finally bi-directional scheduling was implemented.

  • Bi-directional scheduling gave minimum makespan.

Awards received in Extracurricular activities

  • First in Essay writing during Intermediate Education

  • Topped Second in Caroms during High-school education

  • Runner-up in Ball Badminton intramurals during graduation
