30/5/2015 Congratulations to Barks for being appointed the Carlton Coach

9/6/05 You Beauty! Barks is Back

After getting my tickets to Hawks v Port for the 17th I found out JB was picked to line up against the Saints this weekend. Hopefully he gets through and is rearing to go against Port. Some players are going to the post match at Footy Park, hope the big guy is there.

31/05/05 Barks Back for Box Hill

Barks lined up with the Box Hill Hawks on the weekend for his first hitout since his calf injury. Came on for 10 minute bursts and did some good stuff with 18 touches and 7 marks. Word on the forums is he may play for their reserves this weekend because the ones have a bye or something. I just hope he's ready for the Port game, maybe I could buy him a beer later. Keep workin' Johnny!

21/05/05 Barks Injured

After such a solid start to the season JB unfortunately injured his calf a couple of weeks ago against Carlton - he had an awesome start to that game as well. He should be back in a few weeks I reckon maybe starting for Box Hill. Hope you get through it Barks, everyone knows you've had a rough trot with injuries and hope to see you bagging clutch goals again and lifting the young Hawks.

The week before against the roos JB chipped in with 8 kicks, 7 marks, 4 handballs and a goal. Presented well all day.

16/04/05 YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to AC and Vanders on their first win as coach and skipper. Good work Hawks!!! Barks had another solid game. With 10 kicks, 8 handpasses and 8 marks. JB's highlight was probably taking a leading grab then slotting it from about 45 in the second or third quarter. The big man showed a bit of emotion too. You beauty and go hawks!

13/04/05 Hawks Vs Essendon, Round 3, Premiership Season

Another good hitout for JB. Took some solid grabs and always looked dangerous when the ball was kicked into our 50. Kicked a clutch goal in the fourth to put us in front, didn't crack a smile though, which I was kind of expecting. Must have been thinking there's still a lot more to do. JB to dob a few against his old club this week.

6/4/2005 Barker's 2005 AFL Debut

Barks had a great game against the Tigers in his first AFL game this year. He kicked two, took some grabs and was one of our bests. Congrats mate! Let's hope we get 21 rounds out of JB this year and he carves up against the bombers this weekend.

27/03/05 Barks sits out first round of the preimiership season

Apparently they didn't want to throw Barks straight into the ones coming off his hamstring injury so he played in a Box Hill trial. Word is he bagged a couple of goals and took some impressive pack marks only playing the first half. I reckon he most definitely will play next week and give the lads a big lift. Go Barks!

23/03/05 Megan Gale meets JB

The big fella hung out with Megan Gale for a photo shoot at Glenferrie. Work Barks! More here

13/03/05 Barks ready for round 1

An insider at the Hawks family day spoke to Woof and he is apparently "raring" to go for round 1 against Sydney. Good luck Barks!!!

26/02/05 Hawks vs Fremantle, Wizard Cup

Barks did his hamstring. Hopefully he'll be back in 2-3 weeks and make round 1. I was so pumped for a massive Barker year after that Saints game. Please give me an injury free season for the man...

19/02/05 Hawks vs St Kilda, Wizard Cup

Barks had a decent game, snagging a goal and getting in the Hawthorn bests. It was the big fellas 30th birthday! Happy Birthday JB!!!
