Talbot 1911
[UPDATED] 1911 Talbot 3.3-litre 4-cylinder sporting 2-seater. This chassis spent all its life in sunny Queensland, body restored, now just needs usual cosmetic refinishing. Engine turns free. imple engineering required to create and fit transmission, clutch and driveshaft. The wheels and u/s 895x135 tyres seen in these photos were only borrowed for the photo, and don't fit these hubs. Sale includes set of 4 excellent 1911-period Rudge wire wheels with as-new 20' tyres. (A set of sound original Rudge beaded-edge rim wheels is also available separately: typical wheel shown). Correct-period CAV lights and period switchbox are available with sale if required. The body came from a 1908 Talbot, some photos show the earlier car when complete. (Owner built a Roi des Belges replica) The restored 4M Talbot will happily keep pace with 110kph motorway traffic. Time-challenged owner would consider exchange for a Roesch Talbot. Or w.h.y.? STOP PRESS: An Extraordinary Edwardian Make in the Rolls-Royce class, was discovered in New Zealand 60 years later, rescued recently and very extensively and expensively restored. Even more recently, the happily-married owner has been seduced by a very beautiful Bugatti. If it weren't for knowing his gorgeous wife, I might wonder why he didn't learn from his philandering mates: wouldn't you imagine his desire for exotic stimulation would be just as erotically satisfied driving other guys' Bugattis?
