Today's collection consists of one singular sensation. It's the first ever from a brand new line, "Tables By Keitha". This fine piece began life as a part hunter green, part black, and part rust steel patio table. It was originally purchased from a little fashion botique in Lexington, KY (Walmart). Keitha brought the table to the fine finish you now see through sanding, painting, and mosaic tiling.
THE PRESENTATION:
The tiles are 6"x6", 3/8" thick flooring tiles cut to the exacting specifications required for this project by a process called HittingThemWithClawHammer in the industry.
THE CLOSEUP:
The center piece of this design is a hand painted tile specially imported for Keitha by Lowe's in quantities of 1000. The subject of the tile painting is an African Violet, and the tile is a 4"x4", 1/4" thick kitchen backsplash tile.
SHOWING SOME LEG:
The most time consuming part of this project was probably preparing the table to tile. It required sanding off most of the paint, and all of the rust. The table was then custom painted by Rustoleum in Satin light green.
OUR GORGEOUS DESIGNER:
If you have any comments or questions, just click on Keitha's picture. Oh, and Keitha got into some trouble with the ACLU for not thanking her help during the show, so if you would like to see those credits, look here.
