This title is for PS2 only. Namco did pretty good with it's leading RPG. There's quite a few good concepts to the game, like it has a killer story-line and okay graphics, but the voice dubbing is way off. The characters lips keep moving even after the dialogue ends. This problem doesn't get cleaned up until about the middle of the game. And the game box says over 80 hours of gameplay but I beat it in 68 hours with everything obtained and characters skills maxed. So here I am at 2 in the morning calling the customer service line asking for my other 12 game hours I was promised and the stupid lady from india said it wasn't her problem that I can get through the game so quick. I hung up, very pissed off and watched T.V. Oh, there's also the long cut-scenes. They go anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, so if you play this game kiss your life goodbye. I think you're probably tired of me complaining, so this is the part where I praise the game. Well, the game does have a good story-line like I mentioned earlier. There's a lot of time spent jumping around to different characters viewpoints, but that's pretty good anyway. You might know that this game is the first of six games that last until about 2009. This means that you'll have to dust off your PS2 in college to play the last game. Enough about that. This game has a new innovative battle system that involve using all four symbol buttons instead of just X. Not only that but the way to max out your characters is new too. You have to win battles to get experience and use that experience to max out your stats. Long process, believe me. All in all the good things make up for the bad and I think it would be a good game to add to your collection, considering there's a series. It's seen a price drop to $20, but if you still don't want to buy it then just rent at blockbuster. If you don't have a summer job then it should take about 2 weeks, but if you're like me and do have a job, it will take about 3 and a half. This game gets a 7 out of 10 -Whether you buy or rent, its a pretty good game
