Day 1 Meet your guide at airport, drive to Amman for refreshment, and then to Desert Castles, and finally to Al Azraq campsite for overnight camping.
Day 2 Drive south to Qasr Tubba. One of the early Islamic palaces of Jordan, located in the Desert Castles, and was built in the 8th C. AD.. Discovered in 1898 by Alois Mosil. It was intended to be a Caravanserai , as it was located in the heart of the desert between Syria and Mecca . It was not completed
, but it is a very large complex and was built out of fine bricks made of sun- baked mud. Continue to Eben Hammad campsite for overnight camping.
Day 3 Drive to Karak, one of the two major Crusader Castles in Jordan on a craggy plateau 4,300 feet above sea level. It is a majestic fortresss, built to protect the approach to Jerusalem. The Crusaders managed to hold it for 50 years until 1189 AD., when Salah Al Din (Saladin) defeated them and took the
fortification into the fold of the Arab World. Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. The Dead Sea is ten times saltier than seawater, where it is impossible to sink while swimming. Head to Mujeb, the lowest nature reserve in the world, near the east coast of the Dead Sea. The reserve is located
within the deep Wadi Mujeb gorge, which enters the Dead Sea at 410 meters below sea level. Over 300 species of plants, 10 species of carnivores and numerous species of permanent and migratory birds have been recorded until this date in the reserve. After then, drive to Wadi Arab, a Rift Valley for overnight
camping.
Day 4 Drive to Nemleh, and then to Petra, the jewel of South Jordan. The 2,000-year-old rock-carved city is always breath-taking and never to be forgotten. Continue late in the afternoon to Little Petra, a miniature Petra with a small Siq, carved tombs and monuments and some painted ceilings. We spend the
night in Little Petra camping.
Day 5 Drive to Petra for sightseeing again, then to Homaima, considered as the 2nd biggest caravan station between Petra and Heqreh in Saudi Arabia. Besides that it was a very highly cultivated area to help the people into a better like style. It has remains from the Nabatean period such as the Hydraulic
system (1st century AD), and Roman military camp. It has also been used and inhabited during the Byzantine and the Islamic periods. Head to Al Kharaz campsite for overnight camping.
Day 6 Full day visit to Wadi Rum and overnight camping in the valley. Vast and echoing and God-like" were the words that T.E. Lawrence used to describe this spectacular natural wonder. It has perhaps some of the best desert scenery found in the in Middle East.
Day 7 Drive to Aqaba on the Red Sea for free day and overnight at hotel. Aqaba is Jordan's only port to the sea, and boasts a balmy climate and uniquely beautiful coral reefs. These world-renowned reefs of the Red Sea are famous for their variety of habitats and wide range of multi-colored species.
Considered to be some of the best diving and snorkeling for both beginners and the experienced.
Day 8 Return journey through Wadi Araba, and Dead Sea, to airport.
