Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does water need to be added while the snowman display is freezing?
A: No, the moisture in the air is more than adequate to build frost. Adding water actually disfigures the frost.

Q: Does the snowman display need to be in a refrigerator?
A: No, the frosted display is in direct contact with the airspace it occupies. People can go and touch it quite easily.

Q: Can you make other displays?
A: Yes, definitely! There really is no limit to what we can make. But for now we are concentrating our efforts on a snowman design, because there is some obvious commercial value to it.

Q: How long does it take to freeze up?
A: The 12 foot tall snowman takes about 2-4 days to freeze up. Humidity plays a large part in how quickly frost forms. More humid, more frost, less humid, less frost.

Q: Does the snowman have lights on it?
A: No, we don't install lights on our snowman, but you can definitely put lights on it. Our main focus in design is snow that doesn't melt. Lights, tinsel, garland (etc.) can all be added to the snowman after it has been set up. It is readily available in most stores and comes in all kinds of variety. We like to leave those particulars in the hands of the customer. It is a wonderful way tie in our snowman to the overall Christmas theme or style set out by the end user.
