Entry 2: We had previously developed the technology we were going to use for him, and we set it in his body today. We signaturized the nanomachines after Sym programmed and set in the data needed. Sym erased mind of previous user and programmed new being into mind. Eyes and sensors were refined and inserted. Skin was cut; armors implanted and skin graphed to armor. No testing done.
Entry 3: Information and programs were uploaded into core. Core was implanted and tests began. Small errors followed and were repaired. Eyes, sensors, and core work properly. Nanomachines, equipment, and body synthesized perfectly together. Further analysis and expansion of creation will proceed. Log will be updated when requested.
Entry 4: Upon demand of information, the log has been updated. Sym has been interrogated on charges of treason as finishing touches on project ‘Chaos’ reach their end. No abnormal behavior has been noticed by the prototype since Sym’s absence. Tests showed no sign of error as we proceed development. Since last log entry, we have added requested programs, gear, and information to it. Signature number X-879 Y-903 was imprinted on across upper left breast. Links have been properly placed, as well as required data on sword. Defense mechanisms have been embedded and training will progress soon. Log will be updated at end of project.
Entry 5: 80 years of training have occurred since last log entry. Three assistants to the original creator have developed the project's abilities. New models are being developed and have been developed, but the original plan will still occur. Plans for it to embark into the past and gather information for the new models are underway and will proceed ASAP. End of log.
“…. After a few years of keeping this hidden and periodically bringing it out, I thought it essential to use it today. I have heard a rumor that they are promoting one of us to an actual program. My colleges and I have been in our cubicles working as usual on repetitious software, but we have gotten wind of a rumor that someone will be picked for a secret project. I do not know if this is to stir us enough to work harder and show promise, but it has affected me….”
“…. They’ve picked me! They’ve picked me! I have finally risen above what I have expected of myself. I might actually get leeway within this totalitarianism government, but I must remain cautious. If I am wrong and announce this, I still might be punished for it…. I am reading what I need to learn for this project, but I do not understand. It is asking for many things, but I do not see how they fit together….”
“…. I finally understand what they were asking for. The mutilation of a human being into something unnatural. I do not think there is a word that can properly depict what they are asking for. I will practice on test samples for a day or two, but I am not sure how I can possibly do this to a living human being….”
“…. I made a mistake wanting this job. I messed up doing this today. What they asked for was too much, so I fabricated it. They wanted me to erase and replace this Thatcher’s mind, and memories, and I just couldn’t do it. I know that what I did was inexcusable, but I couldn’t bring it upon myself…. I will end up burning or eating this page, because it will be used against me when they find me. I managed to keep this hidden, but that defect I made will be seen. Perhaps I can do something to preserve Thatcher’s existence….”
“…. I was right. They have spotted my error. But as a precaution, I have implanted a decoy. The decoy will be destroyed along with me, but Thatcher will survive. I do not know why I did this to that poor soul, but I have. Perhaps he will be my legacy, or a means to stop ‘Chaos.’ All I know is that this is the last words I will write in this diary. Good bye, my Legacy.”
I came to accept this cruel fate as I ‘saw’ Sym for the last time. They were aware of my presence, but Sym had planted a forgery or myself. I cannot feel sorrow for him as he left. A single day later I overheard some saying what had happened to him. He was being ‘investigated’ by THEM. That only meant that he would no longer exist in any memory. His belongings will be seized and burned, along with any record of his presence from this time. Not even a memory of him will be here in a week, except for mine.
He is a cruel being with no heart. ‘Chaos’, as named appropriately for what he was created for, shows only malice while training. I can feel his presence around myself as I try to find a way to escape this jail.
Eureka! I understand how his infrastructure works! I made my first program today. It will keep me hidden behind sealed, invisible walls. I will continue to make programs, disguising them as errors and viruses in his system. This will be my only pleasure and past time….
I think I have done it. I think I have found a way to use what is left of my body while constraining ‘Chaos’ for a short period of time without his knowing. I will use it whenever I can, preferably to create my own memories again….
Chaos is not of this time. He was outfitted with many high-tech devices that would help him in his mission. His mission you ask? They told him that it was gathering information, but it was merely an excuse for him to kill and improve the other models. Thus making these things weapons of total destruction. His equipment has caused nothing but harm to almost all those around him as he scourges the land for all information he needs. They were given to him in the future, having trained with them, learning to control them to perfection. He has been given basic model abilities, having to refine them on the field of combat. He is also given more equipment when he succeeds in gathering essential information and kills.
Thatcher also has taken an appearance on the scene. Every passing year of being isolated within the confines of his previous body he was getting stronger. The continuous anti-virus protection agencies would threaten his life on a daily basis, but he managed to stay dormant and bypass them eventually. Within his system, Thatcher grew to the point where he could segregate Chaos and take control of his frame yet again. Thatcher was a kind person, but he had his limitations. For a large amount of time he could not complete blend in, but recent developments have insured that he could. Though the scientists were perplexed on how ‘Chaos’ interacted with beings and felt human emotion, the facts were obvious. They learned and could research many things by having him interact, thus the upgrade.
Thatcher came to the startling conclusion that Chaos could do much more then previously expected. Chaos always had the opportunity to report Thatcher, as well as cease Thatcher from seizing his frame. What had startled Thatcher the most was that Chaos was feeling the emotions stored within his memories as he used them. A machine that could feel shocked and disturbed him greatly. Thatcher could still use and control all of the functions of Chaos as an agreement was approached. Thatcher could control the body if Chaos could still kill as assigned, but only half the time. When Thatcher wanted to walk around and such, Chaos would resign, and the same went for Thatcher towards Chaos.
