The other stuff

Wow. It's been a long long time since I've been on this account.

It's funny when you make a website years ago and can't remember how to log in - but know you want to so you can remove things that are no longer things you wish to put on display for the world, things that are no longer the "you" you are at that time. It's not that I am embarrassed by the stuff on these pages or that it's scandalous - it's just not me now. It's not who I am and it's not who I am striving to be.

Then, years later (about five years later) while going through a box, find a spiral with an extension and a single word written on the back cover and realize - this is the info you've been driving yourself buggy for, all this time. So, today, 5.24.08 I was able to log into the account I made in 2004 for the first time.

My my. How things have changed. New home, new love, new outlook, new dreams and wishes and desires. I'm now divorced. Happily. I have been since 2002. I'm now engaged. Very happily. Have been since July 2007. I have the same job, I have the same cats. I still look back on things from this time with a smile and an ache. Some things don't change, do they?

I've taken down my writings that were up here. I've become a bit more cautious about putting my IP out there for the entire internet to see (and use, alter or steal). I have left up the poems because they are still meaningful to me. They still bring a smile to my face and they still mean the same to me as they did then, remind me of the people they did then. He's a powerful author. I took down pictures of my children and my old home. We aren't there anymore and my children are different people now as well. I like to have a bit more control over the photography I put on the web. Call it caution, call it control. It's who I am now.

I'm fairly certain that nobody even knows this page exists now, save one person. Hi Justin. At any rate, should you stumble upon this page, look for me on flickr. It's the internet home I most often give people looking to touch base with me online.

Well. That's enough chatting from me. See you in another four or five years. ^_~

Stay safe.
