African American Greek Organizations are organizations that were formed by several African American students, many with different views/ideals, at universities which, at that time, discriminated against them in many ways. These organizations were formed with the intentions of providing social groups for african american students to organize study groups, meet other students in their same positions and to develop programs that would better the African American community as a whole.
