Well, the season has ended and I must say congrats to our Idol winner. I have to admit, this was not the outcome I was hoping for personally, but I don't represent all of America. So, here's to our American Idol - Please don't let us down, girl!

#1 - Fantasia Barrino

Fantasia already has a fan base building from her home state of North Carolina...including past Idol runner-up Clay Aiken.

This little bit was written by eddiejoborgers on idolforums:

"The Heaven Newspaper just reported: Singing Angel missing since a couple of months, was just retraced on planet earth disguised as Fantasia Barrino. As she is enjoying it so much the judges decided she can stay on earth, to make life more joyful and pleasant on this planet, as long as she keeps singing.

Our reply: 'Thanks heaven'"

#2 - Diana DeGarmo

This 16-year-old Georgia Peach has already sung the National Anthem at numerous sporting events!

Jennifer (Legolas_Luver on PantaLoons) had this to say about Diana:

"Diana DeGarmo is Dianamite! I have loved her voice ever since the auditions. Her voice is strong, pure, and fantastically beautiful! Her outgoing personality is so fun to watch. Another think I love about Diana is that she is wholesome, dresses conservatively, and is a good role model for her younger fans.

Diana has versatility, loveability, and just plain pure talent! That is why I believe that Diana DeGarmo should be American Idol 2004."

#3 - Jasmine Trias

18-year-old Jasmine Trias has an amazing voice and a sweet personality. Can't wait to see how far she can go!!

MSNBC Entertainment:

Flower-wearing Jasmine Trias, 17, from Milani, Hawaii, was a unanimous choice of the three judges for her rendition of "Run to You." Judge Randy Jackson said "I love the sound of your voice." Judge Paula Abdul agreed, saying "I think you sang great." They weren't the only ones: Viewers voted her through to the final 12.

#4 - LaToya London

The wedding singer from Oakland, LaToya has a smooth and perfect voice and a lot of style!

MSNBC Entertainment:

LaToya London, 25, of Oakland, Calif., impressed the judges with her rendition of "All By Myself." Judge Randy Jackson gave her his top praise, saying "You were the best that I've heard since we started this thing." Paula Abdul called her "Unbelievable," and even tough guy judge Simon Cowell admitted "It was a superb, outstanding performance."

I had a lot to say when JPL was voted off... conspiracy theories ran through my head like crazy... and they multiplied when Jennifer Hudson left. But now I know that America is the problem, because LaToya London was not only a fan favorite, but also a judge/producer favorite. I know, I know, I shouldn't lament too harshly over this. She'll get a contract and become famous with no problems whatsoever. That's not what angers me. American Idol is about finding the best singer in America. And tonight, we let go of the best, by far. None of the remaining could compare to LaToya and I am disappointed in America as a whole right now.

#5 - George Huff

George has me smiling every time he sings! He always has a joyful attitude about performing and I love to watch him.

Angelgurli19492 from IdolForums has this to say about George:

"When I first watched Group 4 of the semifinals, I thought that this group was going to be the worst. Then I saw George. From then, I knew he was going to be my favourite, and I would vote for him the whole competition. He could sing, and he had the best personality too. He was amazing, by far the best in the group. I was a little annoyed when John Stevens and Jasmine got through, but George made it to the WildCard after that, and then the Top 12. The thing I love about his personality is his bounce and smile. He always smiles, no matter what, and its contagious, and he has so much energy. I could not pick one thing that I love about George, there are too many. I really, really, really, really want him to win American Idol. That's all I have to say."

#6 - John Stevens

This 16-year-old crooner reminds me of Frank Sinatra, or Dean Martin.

MSNBC Entertainment:

John Stevens, 16. It took a full week of controversy and allegations of racism among the voting public to stir the Idol pollsters but John Stevens, 16, was sent packing. A record 28 million fans voted Wednesday, making sure their voices were heard -- and they had had their fill of John's voice, or lack thereof. Latin music night proved to be John's downfall. As Simon so eloquently put it: "[John] and Latin music are like chocolate ice cream and an onion -- they just don't mix." America has spoken and we are all eternally grateful. (NOTE: This is the opinion of MSN, not me. I am waiting for a John fan to write up a paragraph for me...)

#7 - Jennifer Hudson

J-Hud, as her fans call her, has won over many Americans with her amazing voice and fun personality.

Here is a short paragraph from Poot (idolforums) about J-Hud:

"Jennifer Hudson is the girl with the gigantic voice. She has captivated many of her fans since her amazing first audition when she sang "Share Your Love with Me" Jennifer has a great personality. She is just herself and you can like it or leave it. She has proved numerous times through her amazing voice why she deserves to be among the remaining contestants. With style and grace, she's got fans all over the place. Jennifer Hudson is the real deal."

#8 - Jon Peter Lewis

Since Simon called him a "pen salesman" at his audition in Hawaii, Jon Peter has attracted many "Penpals" who vote for him every week.

Here is what JPL fan Collyn Wright (~simon_is_sexy~ on idolforums) says about Jon Peter:

"JPL is my Idol in more ways than one. I love his uniqueness, his unique voice and unique personality. One thing that JP has that I think is important in a star is when you turn on the radio or something and hear someone singing you should be able to distinguish who is singing, not be mixed in with everyone and their brother. With JPL his voice is so unique that he could be singing anywhere and I would still know it is him. I love the fact that JP is dedicated to his church and all things involved with it. I mean he was a missionary in Spain, when he could very well have just stayed home and went to school. No, his church is important to him, anyone can see that and that makes him even more appealing to me. He has such a great love for children that he is willing to go through almost 9 more years of schooling so that way he can doctor them and to me that is amazing. For someone to want to dedicate their life to something, that in my eyes is a very special person. JP loves to be with his family and since they moved around a lot his family is probably the only people in his life that have remained constant. Yes, I know aunts and uncles and grandparents remain constant but I mean, he probably didn't have many constant friends. He probably had friends here and there but moving so much I think his brothers were mostly the friends in his life and in a way I am jealous of that. I have one sister and we argue a good bit, mostly over clothes but I have always wanted a big family to fall back on when things get rough and that I believe is what JP has. It's just amazing to me and I admire this, with such an upbringing I bet JP would be a dedicated father and husband when he gets married and let me just tell you, the woman that he marries is going to be one very lucky person. I wish JP all the luck in life and hope that he goes far in the entertainment world with that unique voice and personality of his!!"

#9 - Camile Velasco

This 18-year-old Hawaii native has been compared to Lauren Hill. But, on April 7th, America sent her back to Maui.

This paragraph comes from poppin_yo_collah (idol forums):

"She is personally my favorite. I love the tone of her voice because it's a tone similar to that of Lauryn Hill. She has such a great voice for someone that never had a professional trainer and only started performing at age 16, unlike the other finalists who started performing when they were toddlers. Her style can go a long way in the music business of today and her natural beauty catches the attention of the male audience. Even if this 'pop star American Idol' thing doesn't work for her, she still has a chance of signing on with a hip hop, R&B, or soul type of label."

#10 - Amy Adams

Amy Adams was unjustly voted off of the show on March 31st. I was so sad to see her go!

Here is a bit from JJ, Amy's webmaster on www.amy-adams.com:

"One thing that stands out about Amy is her personality. She has the best personality that makes her shine. Amy has all the qualities that would make her a successful star. Not only is she one of the most awesome singers I have ever heard, but she can also act, which gives her an opportunity to be an all around entertainer. Amy's laugh is contagious and her feel good approach makes people attach to her like a magnet and want to be around her. Amy has a huge heart and a genuine sweetness that shows every time you see her smile. She is very approachable and has the ability to make you laugh every time you talk to her. Amy is a true talent and God has given her a wonderful gift to share with everyone. Although she was robbed on American Idol, she will not be going away and we will be seeing more of her. She is set to have the most successful career than any American Idol contestant has ever had."

#11 - Matthew Rogers

Matt was one of my favorites on the show. When he was voted off on March 24th, it was sad to watch him go. But he did go out with a bang!

TNWY on idolforums had this to say about Matt:

"Matt Rogers entered this competition with the slogan “big man, big voice, big opportunity!” He definitely made the most of the opportunity as he made it into the final 12 of American Idol and ended up placing 11th. Throughout the competition, he displayed his unique vocals on “What You Won’t Do For Love”, “Hard To Handle”, and “Amazed”. Viewers each week saw not only Matt’s immense vocal talent but his outgoing personality and love for interacting with the crowd. Matt displayed his whit and charisma throughout the competition including his exit song when he did the most memorable exit in American Idol history by parodying the song Amazed and dedicated it to Simon. With his talent, energy, and natural charisma, Matt is sure to make it big in the entertainment industry!"

#12 - Leah LaBelle

Sweet Leah was the first AI casualty on March 17th.

MSNBC Entertainment:

Leah LaBelle, 17, made it to the final 12 as the wild-card choice of Paula Abdul. But even Abdul was less than thrilled with her final performance, saying "You were a little bit under on your pitch." Simon Cowell was even more blunt, saying "Leah, I packed your suitcase. Sorry." LaBelle attends Seattle's Garfield High, the alma mater of Jimi Hendrix and Quincy Jones. Unfortunately, she'll be back in Garfield's halls sooner than she had hoped.
