Meanwhile, Rose was waiting by the van behind the school, ready to open the doors, and throw Tara in the back. She held the chloroform soaked cloth in her left hand. Once Claudia brought Tara out to the van, Rose knew that Tara would try to run. That’s why she stood where she was standing. It was easier to grab Tara from that angle and force her into a sleeping state with the chloroform.
She was watching carefully from the back of the school. They hid the van well, so that nobody would see anything. They had to be careful. One witness could blow the whole plan.
“I’m sure you’ll love the stuff we have for you, Tara.” Claudia was saying, as she and Tara were walking toward the van. Tara didn’t reply, she only smiled and followed Claudia, with no idea where she was going, or who she was with.
Soon, they were close to the van. Rose could see them
coming, and so she got ready. She opened the back door and hid behind it, as Claudia brought Tara right up to the van. Tara wondered why they had stopped. She looked at the van, and then back at Claudia.
“I thought you said you had a car.” She said, starting to feel her heart race faster. She suddenly had a very bad feeling about all of this. Claudia only shrugged, as Rose emerged from behind the van door. Tara jumped.
“Who is that?” She asked anxiously, as she started to back up. Claudia and Rose came closer to Tara.
“Now, now. Don’t put up a fight, and we won’t hurt you. Just come quietly.” Rose said in a calm voice. Tara turned and started to run, but Rose grabbed her arm and spun her around into her grasp. Tara started to scream, but Rose covered her nose and mouth with the soaked cloth. Tara struggled, trying hard not to breath in the strong fumes, but Rose overpowered her. “Tara Pickett. Do you have any idea just how smart you really are? You’ve been chosen especially because of that. You should be happy.” Rose said with a smile. Tara suddenly felt very drowsy, and she could feel herself falling out of consciousness. She tried to fight it, but she couldn’t. She fell victim to the chloroform within seconds, and she fell limp in Rose’s arms.
“Mission accomplished.” Claudia smiled. Rose nodded, and they gently placed Tara in the back of the van. They laid her down on the pile of blankets that covered the inside of the van. Claudia and Rose slammed the doors behind her and smiled at each other.
