I'm Doris Nadeau,high school graduate of '82, licensed home daycare provider since 2001. I am also a Wife, mother of 4, and grandmother of two. Raised in Lewiston, Maine by parents of a French heritage, I followed my family into factory work; never feeling satisfied, I tried to be content.

I always loved children and everyone who knew me said I was gifted and should work with children. I enjoyed babysitting the minute my sisters would let me. I was the family babysitter of seven siblings for years. I also love my yearly family picnic ,where now the small ones I babysat have children of their own and I am sole entertainer/activities director. They love to see me coming and I love to make them happy. I also volunteered at school and in the nursery at church. There's just something so special about children.

Well I decided to step out, face the fear; I took a deep breath, got my license, and within a year with only one advertisement when I opened, I got filled. The parents of the children love me and I love my job. I am now satisfied I now know yes this is what I was meant to do. I think of when I was a child of the role models that made a difference in my life and now I hope to be like them and make a difference in the lives that I touch.

I want to make a difference this is my hope, my goal, my dream.
