Day off
Mood:  lazy
Topic: Jokes
Last night started out with me deciding to be a little inspirational on my day off... a good movie and a 6er of Kokanee ended that with me sleeping in past 1pm today. However i have now quested out into town determined to spend at least a good portion of $230 i have made in tips over the last couple days (oh yeah and payday is tomorrow)
I find it amazing that there are people in this world that have so much money that tey will go to a fancy hotel like Rimrock, rent a presidential suite for $2000 +, buy the bar staff shots for $25 each (mind you this is incredible tequila that is ment to be sipped... no we didnt) then tip everyone $100 each. An amazing person in every way... thank you.

just to keep the smiles coming

This is tragic.

I know that this might make some of you cry!!

Most of us have heard a sad story about an accident involving alcohol.

In all my life I have never encountered an alcohol related accident as graphic and devastating as this one.

Just looking at the picture fills my eyes with tears.

Update on Rundel
Mood:  silly
Now Playing: Too Bad - Nickleback
Topic: impressed
About a week after Alex and i had achieved the monster hike up Mt Rundel i decided to go to the informaition centre and grab some maps for the next conquest.
i also picked up a map of our latest achievement only to find we had gone the wrong way... in fact a path that is not only advised against but dangerous.

Sadly we will have to wait until summer befor we even attempt to rectify out accident

Why we should travel
Mood:  chillin'
Topic: senamental (sort of)
"That is why we need to travel. if we don't offer ourselves to the unknown, our senses dull. Our world becomes small and we lose our sense of wonder. Our eyes dont lift to the horizon; our ears dont hear the sounds around us. The edge is off our experience, and we pass our days in a routine that is both comfortable and limiting. We wake up one day and find that we have lost our dreams in order to protect our days.

Don't let yourself become one of these people. The fear of the unknown and the lure of the comfortable will conspire to keep you from taking the chances the traveler has to take. But if you take them, you will never regret your choice. To be sure, there will be moments of doubt when you stand alone on an empty road in an icy rain, or when you are ill with fever in a rented bed. But as the pains of the moment will come, so will they fall away. In the end, you will be so much richer, so much stronger, so much clearer, so much happier, and so much better a person that all the risk and hardship will seem like nothing compared to the knowledge and wisdom you have gained."

A quick joke to lighten your mood
Mood:  mischievious
Topic: Jokes
A monkey is sitting in a tree smoking a joint when a
lizard walks past and looks up and says to the monkey,
"Hey! What are you doing?"
The monkey says "smoking a joint, come up and have
So the lizard climbs up and sits next to the monkey
and they share a few puffs. After a while the lizard
says his mouth is 'dry' and is going to get a drink
from the river. The lizard is so stoned that he leans
too far over and falls into the river.
A Crocodile sees this and swims over to the lizard and
helps him to the side, then asks the lizard, "What's
the matter with you?"
The lizard explains to the crocodile that he was
sitting smoking a joint with the monkey in the tree,
got too stoned and then fell into the river while
taking a drink.
The crocodile says he has to check this out and walks
into the jungle, finds the tree were the monkey is
sitting, finishing a joint.
The Crocodile looks up and says "Hey!"
The Monkey looks down and says....
"Fuuuuuuuuck..... much water did
you drink?!!"

4 weeks ago a friend of mine (Brisbane) attempted to end his own life...

For all his faults he is a man who will do anything for a person he considers to be a friend. The longer i travel the more i realise that this is a very rare thing to find among the hundreds that would claim to be your friend.
This is a trait that i have come to value above many others... Trust. I hope that all who read this can count atleast 1 person who will do anything for them.

Alex my thoughts are with you
