One thing I have wondered if I mentioned to you--did I tell you that when I searched the marriages of Wythe County, I found that Daniel Lockett (think I'm remembering the preacher's name) had accrued 20 or so marriage returns and turned them all in on the same day--which is the date that has been given frequently for the marriage of William and Mariam Brown Bridgeman. In reality their marriage license was dated almost 2 years before, and it is likely they actually married within a month of the license issuance. This makes the birthdate given for Charlotte Bridgeman Wheeler make a lost more sense. Have you corresponded with any of Charlotte's descendants. There is a lot of info available on the Wheelers. . . Also, did I share with you the reference to Rebecca Bridgeman having married another Wheeler, another Richard I believe. This Rebecca would be from the William Bridgeman generation and probably another sister, and possibly child of Franklin.
William married Mariann BROWN in 1805 in Wythe County, Virginia.
Children from this marriage were:
i. Charlotte BRIDGEMAN was born on 23 Sep 1807 in Wythe County, (West) Virginia, died on 16 Jun 1891 in Jacksboro Township, Campbell County, Tennesse, at age 83, and was buried in Wheeler Cemetery, Campbell County, Tennessee.

iii. Martha D BRIDGEMAN was born on 14 Apr 1810 in Wythe County, (West) Virginia, died on 2 Nov 1880 in Holt County Missouri, at age 70, and was buried in Possibly Caton Cemetary Near Holt Co Missouri.
iv. Isaac BRIDGEMAN was born in 1811 in Wythe County, (West) Virginia and died in Aug 1859 in Walker Coutny Georgia, at age 48. The cause of his death was heat stroke while overseeing activity in a cotton field.
