Cory did go to college, she went to the College of Mount St. Vincent in New York. Here she took a
degree in French and Mathematics. Her plan was to be a lawyer but she had given it up when she married
her husband Ninoy. She did not have any other profession before she had gone into power in the
Philippines. She followed her husband and his political career which greatly opposed the Marcos Regime.
