OBJECTIVE
Project Controls Management; Construction Scheduling, Delay Claims and Cost Control
HIGHLIGHTS
* Project Controls Manager at San Francisco International Airport Expansion Project
1- Activation Controls Manager for SFO Associates: Developing and monitoring Activation schedule for all Airport projects
2- Scheduling and Claims Consultant for the CM Joint Venture headed by Bovis Construction: Scheduling / Claims Controls for Boarding Area (G) and coordinating with other Airport Projects. Total Project Cost is $2.5 billion. General Contractor, Tutor Saliba Corporation
* Senior Project Engineer at Country Club Village, Honolulu, Hawaii
The innovative pre-fab system known as Multi-Room Modular Construction (MRMC) was introduced for the first time in the United States and made a new record in constructing four apartments per day (500 apartments turn key in 12 months)
* Project Engineer at Boston Harbor Hotel
A unique steel structure and pre-fabricated exterior; an 11 storey dome and arches featured the $300 million landmark of Boston across from Logan International Airport. The "Up-Down" construction technology was applied for the first time in USA and cut down project duration to a new record. (Technical paper for this project was published in June 1989 in The Journal of Construction Engineering and Management of the American Society of Civil Engineers, "Process of Innovation for Up/Down Construction at Rowes Wharf" by S.B. Tatum, M.F. Bauer and A.W. Meade)
* Publication and Thesis Research
The technical work achieved by Master's Thesis research (MSCE / Construction Management), which was considered a breakthrough in cost effective resource management, was published under "Resource Management in Construction", The Journal of Construction Engineering and Management (September, 1986) of the American Society of Civil Engineers. This paper introduced a mathematical model to optimize resource usage in construction operations
* Lecturer of Construction Methods, Civil Engineering Department, University of Hawaii
This course introduced hands-on approach to Construction Methods lectured to graduate and undergraduate Civil Engineering students. The overall student rating was 4.5 / 5, standing ½ point above department average
