I recently picked up this hardtop out of a local junkyard. I don't know where they found it, but it had been sitting since 1972, as can be seen by the last inspection sticker. The odometer shows 48,000 original miles. My guess, it was sitting in an abandoned garage which leaked. the floors are relatively solid. One quarter panel will need replacing. All the trim is there and in decent shape. The interior is near perfect except for the rug and dash chrome. Check out the graduation tassel hanging from the rear-view mirror- it's from 1970!! It will need some sheetmetal, new grill, and bumpers. Plans are to drop a 65 289 which I pulled a few years ago out of another futura. Will keep you posted as progress goes. This is gonna have to wait on my delivery though.....
