here's a brief run-down on how you can help me (thee box) liven-up the local hardcorepunk scene:
1)before coming to a show, sit yourself down infront of your record collection & stereo.
2)grab a blank tape, some decorative paper & pens & shit, and pick out some music to record onto this here blank tape.
3)fill BOTH sides of tape with audio treats (you know, -like compiling songs from your favorite bands or maybe something with a more specific theme... or stuff that you or whomever maybe don't even consider to be "punk!" ...this is a mixtape).
4)perhaps write down the titles of songs to enclose with the cassette.
5)bring the mixtape with you to a show & let me take a gander at it. (hint: i'll be wearing commie red)
6)feel free to leave it with me & take any one of the other mixtapes that have already been passed on to me*.
7)walk away proud! you may have just made a new friend.
*note- if there aren't many tapes, it's because the punx aren't putting in what they take out! maybe consider making two tapes for thee box, especially if you've taken one before, without adding another! also, mixes can & should be of ANY style of music or whathaveyou (not just punk/hardcore)!
