I suggest that you keep a small number of remedies in the cupboard they are not only useful for the Shibas but also for you.  

Arnica – in cream, tincture and 30c or 6x tablets.   This is good for shock, bruises and strains and depending on what the injury is, use the appropriate item.    Give this if you or your Shiba are recovering from an operation.   It also helps the bitches womb regain its health after whelping.

Calendula is good for open cuts.   It helps healing.  

Hypericum is good for open cuts where the cut is near nerves.

Nux Vomica 30c or 6x tablets for stomach upsets.   Eating dodgy food or overeating (or hangover).

Phosphorus 200c and 30c.   (Borax can also be useful) This is for fireworks or loud noises.   One dose of 200c on firework night or 3oc once a day for a week beforehand.   This is also useful if your shiba is frightened of the vet or showing.

Arson Alb.   Diarrhoea.    Depends on what form it takes but I always try Arson Alb 30c or 6x first.   It usually stops it quite quickly.   Just one tablet three times a day until it eases off and then reduce to one and then stop altogether.
