Russian acoustic guitar
Here is an old Russian guitar I bought on ebay for $8.00. I have no idea when it was made; I'm guessing 60s or 70s. The neck is bolt on and is missing the thin metal cover. The tuners are original and function, so I've left them alone. The odd thing about them is they work backwards, so tuning is awkward. The top is thick laminate; the sides and back..... I really don't know what it is. It appears to be some kind of plastic. The outside is a deep maroon, almost black, and probably could be buffed. When I got it I just used Windex or something like that on it and it immediately dulled the "finish". I may buff it, as it looks pretty bad right now. The inside is white and looks like drywall mud. As to tone, it sounds pretty good actually. Not a lot of volume or tonal range but for some reason it's pleasant to the ear. Playability isn't bad either. If anyone can translate the label, please email me.
