1983 Fender P-Bass
I've owned a ton of basses, but none that I like more than this one. It's a very nice P Bass (aren't they all?) that has some odd features, date-wise. The finish is pewter, which didn't come out until late 1982. The electronics are dated 1981. The neck is dated 1983, but it has a 1979 serial number! It looks to be untouched, it's just got some screwy dates. The pick guard was non-original when I got it, and I replaced it with a stock new Fender guard. A P Bass is something everyone should have, period. Food, clothing, shelter, P Bass.... and not necessarily in that order.
