Brand new 1976 Applause AA-14-1

Here's one you don't see every day. This was purchased by a music store from C. Bruno & Son, the distributor of Applause guitars, in late 1976. It was never sold. I have no idea how long it hung on the rack but it shows virtually no signs of being handled or shopworn. The story goes that it went into storage when the music store closed and was only recently discovered.

I paid too much for it but you can't talk sense to me when it comes to US made Applauses.

The protective plastic is still on the pickguard.

The tuners are still new and are very difficult to turn. Never broken in!

The label fell out but I will reattach it after I scan it. The original hang tag came with the guitar:
