If Only...

Of course mom and dad didn’t believe me
But little Fatima called and said she needs to
See me
She said she’s pregnant by some boy in school
Who told her that he loved her and she
Believe him like a fool
So they committed a sin not realizing the weight
That it carried
All because he promised her that one day they
Would be married!
“So until then, why don’t we get to know each other
a little deeper”
And you were wondering why Fatima all of a sudden
Had a beeper!
Now he’s calling her from his cellular phone
And they’re plottin’ and plannin’ to be all alone!
They thought it was perfect when his parents
Left for hajj
Leaving Ahmed with plenty of money and keys to
The Mercedes in the garage
Alone at last, now they just can’t wait!
They feel a little nervous but their
Desire instigates!
Pretending that Allah doesn’t exist for just
A minute!
Mom and Dads worst nightmare! Now they’re in it!
Shaytan made them feel clean about something so filthy!
But now that it’s all done, they feel sooo guilty!
What was supposed to be so sacred and beautiful
Is now just a bloody stain!
Now they weep over the loss of that which
They cannot regain!
Drowning in an ocean of guilt beyond measure!
All from the unlawful pursuit of a lawful pleasure!
A pain that remains even when the
Tears have dried!
If only their parents had let them
Get married when they tried!
