When Nick was younger, he used
to get into fights with his brother and sisters all the time. He used to say
that he hated them and never wanted to talk to them again.
About six years ago, Nick and
Aaron got in a big fight. Aaron squirted him in the head with a water gun and
Nick started chasing him around, so Aaron climbed up in a tree. He couldn't get
up in a tree, so he grabbed a machete and tried to chop the tree down. Andthis
was a big oak tree, like five feet in width. To this day, there is still a big
chunk taken ou of that tree. But as much as they fight, they still love and
miss each other, especially when they're on the road. The best times are when
they are together, away from everyone and everything. Every once in a while,
they ride on the golf cart and race around.(That is not good guys!) Nick tells
Aaron to set up everybody's gargbage cans and line them up like Billy Madison
when he takes the golf cart to the bowling pins. they called it "garbage
bowling." Nick and Aaron like to get creative. They invented a game called
"bowie ball." It's kind of like baseball, but you take a PVC pipe
just about the length of a baseball bat and you take a crab bowie. You throw
the bowie, then hit it with a pipe. They like to get into egg fights. A few
months ago, Nick dressed Aaron up in a wet suit and took him around on a golf
cart and threw eggs at him. It was funny. But Aaron got Nick just as bad. He
was covered in yolk, too. They just fool around like most normal brothers. With
Aaron's brother and sisters, it's hard for him because he is so small. If he
tried to give them advice, he'd get punched in the face, thrown down on the ground
or kicked in the butt. It's not so much from Nick. It's mostly from their
sister Leslie. She like, "I know what I'm doing, I have everything under
control." She knows a lot. She says she doesn't want advice, but she
really does pay attention to it. Now that Aaron is away from home, He and Nick
realize that family is the only thing you really have and you should cherish
them. They think kids need to realize how important family is, and you don't
really, not until you're not around them so much. Kids having trouble with
their brothers or sisters need to just go away and stay away from them to blow
off steam. What Aaron likes to do is climb up in trees, look at the ground and
just get his thoughts together, and of course Nick loves to walk around on the
beach to just relax.
