The Reach Performing Arts Center

Located at the
Deer Isle-Stonington Elementary School, the 400 seat auditorium has already
been the site of several full-scale productions since it's opening in May of
2001. Under the direction of Nelson
Monteith, the Reach Performing Arts Center is becoming a focal point for
the community.
Recent events include:
Oliver! - The Lionel Bart adaption of the Charles Dickens story Oliver Twist. With a cast taken from both island schools and members of the community at large, Oliver! was a resounding sucess.
A limited supply of video tapes of the performance are still available.
The Nutcracker this holiday classic couldn't miss with a cast that included kindergarden through second grades.
