ACCOMMODATIONS

12 attractive cottages all facing the waterfront nestled in a majestic pine setting. Each cottage provides its own panoramic view from your private screened porch. Cottages are heated for those occasional cool nights, also private baths and hot showers. Daily maid service is provided.

The main lodge is a central meeting place where you are served 3 meals a day, which is included in your daily rates. We feature the finest of foods such as lobster, steak, chicken, turkey, fish and roast beef, home cooked and served in abundance to satisfy the heartiest appetite.

A sundeck and floating raft is provided for socializing, swimming, sunning or just lounging. For your added pleasure and leisure time we offer dart games, ping pong and a pool table in the recreation building.

FISHING

The Belgrade Bass, large and small mouth are world famous for their savage strikes and fighting qualities. The size and quantity of the game fish make this region a high point of conversation among the nation's anglers. Bass fishing offers excellent sport from May 1st throughout the summer.

Our land-locked salmon are another of our fighting stars which may be caught all season, but are more plentiful during our spring run. Add to this an abundance of Northern Pike, perch, crappie and pickerel. You'll agree that Long Pond is unexcelled. "12 Mile Long Pond" has been the focal point of the state controlled stocking program, creating excellent fishing from early spring until late fall. Since the beginning of Maine's "One that didn't get away club" Long Pond has produced approximately 10% of the record fish.

FOR YOUR ADDED CONVENIENCE

14 ft. Alumacraft boats are available as well as late model Johnson outboards, canoes, kayaks and paddleboats. Also, non-resident fishing licenses, a full line of tackle and bait, and gasoline. Free ice. We will freeze and store your catch so you can take them home with you.

Other Interests in the Area

We're within motoring distance to the shopping and entertainment areas (Antique shops, golf courses, movies, theaters). Local Protestant and Catholic churches are situated in the picturesque village of Belgrade Lakes, which can be reached easily by water or road. Other interests include bicycling across the countryside, hiking, and off course fall foliage drives.

Clean, comfortable accommodations amid scenic surroundings and a friendly greeting are awaiting you at CASTLE ISLAND CAMPS, where pleasing you is our primary aim.
