Occasionally we receive requests from various organizations asking us to disseminate information about them to our members. We have created a special page devoted to information that is potentially of interest to our members--with the proviso that this does not constitute an endorsement by AATF-Maine.

www.mangolanguages.com  is a new, FREE website that offers foreign  language instruction in about a dozen different languages including:  Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Greek,  Russian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, English for Polish and Spanish  speakers.

www.mangolanguages.com launched on August 31, 2007 and as of late September 2007 the site reports that more than 80,000  people worldwide have become registered users, including foreign  language instructors. Some of these teachers have used the website in  their classrooms and praised it as a wonderful compliment to their  teaching and an interesting way to incorporate technology into their  curriculum.

The French singer-songwriter, Eric VINCENT (http://www.eric-vincent.com), will be back in the USA next fall for a new tour on campuses.

The tournée will begin at the end of September 2008 and will last until Thanksgiving.

I am Sylvie Reeves, a French national married to an Englishman. After 6 years living and working in England, we settled down in France in 1987. I was head of the Language Centre of the Saumur Chamber of Commerce and Industry for nearly twenty years until I decided to do my own thing and registered my small business in December 2006.

My wish is to share our quality of life with the international francophiles who love culture, history, heritage, gastronomy and fine wines and local savoir- faire du terroir, offering them 101 ways to improve their level of French ,  either by intensive residential courses for those living abroad or by traditional weekly classes or theme workshops for the Loire Valley residents. We are also in the process of renovating part of our property, due to open as a self-catering accommodation in June this year.

We live down the road from The Royal Abbey of Fontevraud. I have resorted to the dynamism and savoir-faire of a nutshell of professionals who really want to make sure Fontevraud and its inhabitants will be remembered as a once in a lifetime experience. Richard the enlumineur, Michel the upholsterer, Einav the jewellery maker, Fabrice, master chef in La Licorne just opposite my house.. all of us strive for a convivial fruitful exchange with visitors from all over the world... making them share the secrets of our cultural heritage.
