Welcome.
"Spread your wings and fly if you want to
Run across the water if you dare to
Soar above the clouds and dream again
Glide above the water and wish again
There are no limits in a boundless imagination
Take posession of the benefits to your discretion
But don't be afraid to fall on the hard concrete
That you will so surely meet
On your way down without your feathers
Without your net, but with all your tethers,
For when you escape, you can fall right through it
And into another sky or ocean
Where escaping seems endless."

About the site: What is D.G.W. exactly? Huh, good question. Well, if you haven't guessed, it stands for DrmgurlsWorld. It's a world belonging to---you guessed it--me. Now, where in all the galaxy did I get that name anyway? No, it doesn't mean "drum girl" as so many other people have commented, but rather, it means "dream girl". Metanis molut yioyd, a dreamer is what I am. And I guess, between all my daydreaming and conjuring up writings, this website sprouted up from nowhere. Basically, this is a place for other people to go, to escape the everyday....how shall I say it lightly.....crap. Yes, you heard it here folks, I said crap. Well, it's true, is it not? When I read literature (i.e. poetry, stories, etc.), it takes me to a new place. You know? Forget reality, I'd rather live in my imagination! So I put up a bunch of my work, my poems, my stories, whatever, for people to explore. And hopefully it can take them to other places as well. If not, at least they'll get a good read. Oh, and just so I wouldn't seem so conceited, I allowed others to put up there work too, because I know 99.9% of the people in this world are probably better writers than me and have a lot to show for it. I also enjoy a good read myself and find it to be a wonderful experience when writers are able to share their work in such a friendly environment. Even non-writers can enjoy this site, whether they love to read the work or whether they become inspired to submit their own work. That's what is so great about literature: everybody's invited to partake in the party! The rest of the stuff on this site is just for kicks, for entertainment purposes. After all, why would you escape to a world that was dull and not fun?
When will the site be finished?: To put it quite honestly, never. Why? Because this is one of those sites that will change constantly. There will always be something new, something improved, something tinkered with. As for when it will be fully accessible and all the links will work and the pages set...only time will tell.
How can I know what's updated?: Ah, the answer is simple. Blog
Where can I submit my work?: There will be a page where you can submit your work to possibly be put on this site...right now though, due to the construction, there's no place for that. So, simply send your work to faith_rahl@mailhaven.com and I might work in a few poems on this page for starters before all the pages are finished.
What happened to the "old" site?: Sadly, it died. So, in other words, the previous writings I got from people are gone. I guess it'll just leave room for more new ones than, dontcha think?
Why is there nothing on this website, why don't the links work?: Like I said, it's under construction. Learn to read better, it was stated above.
Will there be any new contests?: Oh, of course! Friendly competition is always fun. So, get your best work ready, your best writings, artwork, anything...and we'll see how good ya really are. (Cue the thunder and lightning sequence. Oh, and the evil laughter too).
What can I do to help?: Simply coming to my site is awesome, but I guess I could use a bit of help. Send a hundred dollars to... I'm kidding. No, but seriously, I would appreciate it if people helped to promote my site. Not that I can't do it myself, because I do enough of it to last a lifetime, but it would be great. And even putting my site in your "favorites" would be cool, and even though I won't know about it (unless, say, you tell me or something...which I doubt you would) it would be appreciated. When I get my "link me" page up, you can use my banners for your site, or your friend's site, or your cousin's site or--heck, just about anyone has a website now. Bringing up my website in chatrooms or literature-based sites or even at the dining table (okay, maybe not that) would be a huge help too. I can't really think of anything else, but thanks for trying :)
