the simplest thing would be to trace every hacker in the world (which to a point is doable) and shoot 'em... right? WRONG! but why? hackers are vile scum that break into peoples computers and disrupt everything, they write viruii, and other evil programs. wouldn't it be better without them? NO. simply put: with out hackers in the world no one would be safe. because while you can eridacate the current people that do hack it is impossable to make sure that courosity does not spark in one person the intrest and motive to break into anothers computer. because then there would be no protection from it!
you see the economy depends on hackers. without hackers computer security companies would not exist and alot of people would never have jobs, government agencies like the nsa, cia, and fbi would be out of vital agents for international security and internal security. stocks for internet sites based on security would die, firewalls would be non existant. internet security teams would have no challange to base their work on, and if someone decided to revive hacker ways some day then there would be total melt down of economic structure... all the computers of the world would die. but thats not what a hacker does any way. a true hacker breaks into the system ONLY to see how it works! a cracker or script kiddie uses programs written by others to gain illegal access to anothers system to destory or tamper with files. so truly leave hackers alone! the government sends scouts to look for new agents to hacker conventions like DEFCON. attack crackers and/or script kiddies! not hackers.
