
The Oak Bay High Community Theatre Society was incorporated in November of 1996. The purposes of the Society are to:
Foster and promote the education and awareness of Oak Bay High School students, parents and members of the community in the dramatic arts by promoting, directing, cultivating, encouraging, and fostering an interest in theatre production
Increase and broaden the opportunities for Oak Bay High School students to enjoy and participate in learning theatre arts
Provide work experience opportunities for Oak Bay High School students for career preparation
Stimulate and encourage the development of drama and musical theatre projects and activities at Oak Bay High School with the cooperation and participation of the surrounding community
Advertise and conduct the sale of tickets in support of various theatrical productions
Provide for the enhancement of theatre facilities and equipment of Oak Bay High School
Provide scholarship or bursary funds for deserving Oak Bay High School theatre students
Raise funds for carrying out the purposes of the Society
In the summer of 1998, the Oak Bay High Community Theatre Society attained the status of a non-profit charitable society. This status allows the Society to receive charitable contributions and issue tax receipts for such contributions.
Our Mission
The Oak Bay High Community Theatre Society was founded to stimulate and encourage the development of drama, musical theatre, projects and related activities at Oak Bay High School with the expertise, cooperation and participation of the surrounding community.
