- The Japan Town Anime Faire (JTAF) is one of the most interesting events to be held annually in
Japan Town. It is usually in September, though the exact dates are being changed this year, and is a good chance to
experience a Japanese pop-culture phenomenon in a little bit more of a traditional setting (as opposed to a hotel or convention center).
- Kinokuniya bookstore in the mall off of Peace Plaza is one of the best places in Bay Area to buy manga in English or Japanese. They also have a wide selection of other books and other
cultural material.
- Don't eat at the Denny's in Japan Town. It's gross and bordering unsanitary.
